Burning Man is a network of people inspired by the values reflected in the 10 Principals* and united in the pursuit of a more creative and connected existence in the world. Throughout the year artists, musicians, visionaries, crafts people, builders, and organizers work to create Black Rock City, home of the largest annual Burning Man gathering, and nurture the distinctive culture emerging from that experience. Built in the vast expanse of the Black Rock Desert east of Reno, NV at the end of the summer, Black Rock City has reaches over 75,000 in population for the one week that it exists. At the end of the week a large wooden human effigy is burned and the city vanishes…until the next year.
-
Burning Man participants known as “Burners” returning to their various cities around the world have traditionally gathered to reconnect with each other and their friends at home to celebrate their Burning Man experience that year. These gatherings have become known as Decompression. They are open to anyone whether they have been to Burning Man or not.
-
As always, the DECOM celebration will feature DJ’s, theme camps, art, dancing, sculpture, music, Flow Arts Fire Performances, art cars, unexpected craziness, food trucks and a full service bar. Come in Costume!
